On October 20, 2024, Fares posted an update on his campaign, Evacuate Fares and his family from Gaza:
All I want and am praying for is PEACE.
There is nothing else I am dreaming of, hoping and praying for.
My people deserve peace. We all deserve peace.
Over a year of the most brutal genocide on my people has taken a toll.
Gaza is completely destroyed. Gaza doesn’t exist anymore.
All that is left are ruins. And human ruins.
Nobody, absolutely nobody in Gaza was spared. Every single person was affected. Every survivor has martyrs in the family. Every survivor has lost at least one friend and neighbor. Every single survivor has health problems, and absolutely every single survivor is experiencing starvation.
Aren’t we humans, too? Aren’t we worthy of life as the rest of the world?
