On March 24, 2026, Maggie Wilder posted the following update to the campaign, Urgent: Help a young family survive:
Hello friends, thank you all again from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of Samira and her family. It continues to be a long journey of survival, despite everyone’s wishes and prayers for relief for the people of Gaza. Your stamina and continued contributions are keeping Samira, now 4 months pregnant, her husband and young toddler fed and sheltered. Donations have slowed down somewhat since the “ceasefire”, despite the continued danger to families in Gaza and lack of basic necessities for life. There are thousands of families like Samira’s, unfortunately, and thousands of similar GoFundMe pages set up to support those families, due to the lack of aid from larger organizations — so please accept our thanks for choosing to support Samira. And if there is anything you can do to share her page, share her family’s story, and help us find her more supporters, we would be incredibly grateful for the help. Thank you, -Maggie
As of this post, this campaign is 79% towards its goal. So if you want to help Samira and her family, feel free to donate and/or share.
