On November 4, 2025, Maggie Wilder posted the following update to the campaign, Urgent: Help a young family survive:
Thank you so much for your continued support of Abdullah, Samira and baby Mohammed. As winter creeps in, your donations are needed to buy warm clothes and blankets, in addition to food, diapers, and they are hoping to have a little extra money to buy a nightlight for Mohammed so he is not scared during the dark. If they can get enough support, we can help them buy some reinforcements for the tarps they are living under. Thank you for your continued support of this family and helping them survive, despite the unbelievable violence they have been subjected to. We may not be seeing it on the news, and we are seeing less of it on social media, but those of us who have been paying attention remember that families just like Samira’s have been forced to live in a place where their community has been bombed to rubble around them, their family members and neighbors killed, and now must endure being trapped where they are amidst a continuing blockade of tents, food and medicine. There are no countries, no large NGO’s or organizations, coming to help the people of Gaza – it is only through fundraisers like this, sending money directly to families, that we can help families one by one survive and stay afloat until better days arrive. -Maggie
