Fundraiser Update: Urgent Support for Muhammad Tareq & Family
Yesterday was another devastating day in Gaza. Tanks encroached dangerously close to Muhammad Tareq’s camp, and IOF forces remain active firing missiles and randomly murdering civilians in the streets. Families cannot safely leave the camp, not even to step outside for air.
The strain on Muhammad’s household has deepened. Relatives displaced from the north have now joined him, bringing the total number in his home to 17 souls, including many vulnerable young children. With scarce resources and no safety to move, this family’s survival depends on our collective action.
Across Gaza, the humanitarian crisis only worsens. The flotilla, a symbol of hope for breaking the siege, has been intercepted and prevented from delivering its desperately needed supplies. Meanwhile, here in the United States, our government distracts us with new threats and division, even turning against its own citizens in rhetoric and policy.
But we cannot afford to be distracted. We must keep our eyes fixed on the reality: Palestinians remain in imminent danger, facing daily violence and starvation.
Our goal remains $5,000, a modest but life-saving amount to sustain Muhammad’s family through food, water, and basic supplies. We are not there yet. Every contribution, no matter the size, moves this family closer to safety and survival.
In moments like this, despair tries to whisper that nothing can change. But history teaches us that collective courage and persistence bend even the darkest realities. Together we become the lifeline that oppressive systems cannot sever. Together we prove that solidarity is stronger than siege.
Let’s finish this goal. Let’s show Muhammad and his children that they are not forgotten.
