I know that we’re getting closer to the end of 2025, so this post about our New Year’s trip in the Baltimore/Ellicott City/Linthicum area of Maryland is probably overdue. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this post.

My younger brother and I took an Uber to the hotel, SpringHill Suites Baltimore BWI Airport. Unlike our trips to Buffalo, we didn’t have to fly there. It’s about 2 hours away from Winchester, VA. Anyway, I booked this hotel using Marriott’s FAM-tastic rates during our Thanksgiving trip in Buffalo. It was the closest one to Ellicott City. Plus, it had free breakfast, a pool and a hot tub. As you can see, I took plenty of pictures of my younger brother, Landy.

The next day, I found that the hotel not only has a bible, but also has The Book of Mormon. I admit I found that interesting, since it’s not everyday I find The Book of Mormon in a hotel. We also went into the hot tub, since it was too cold for the pool. Both Landy and I enjoyed being in the hot tub. Then we went to the laundry room to wash and dry our clothes.

Later, we went to Aunt Pat’s house and spent a few hours with her, her husband, our cousin and our cousin’s children. Eventually we left and went back to the hotel. We didn’t stay up since we were tired.

As you can see, the restaurant Adamm was closed so we never got to eat there. However, we got to eat at the G&M Restaurant for the second time.

We decided to explore Baltimore. We first went to the Shake Shack to get something to eat.

Then we went to the National Aquarium.

Later, we went onboard the Historic Lightship Chesapeake.

After we toured the ship, we were walking around and discovered that Baltimore has a World Trade Center. (Before I’ve only heard of the one in New York City since 9/11.)

We were going home, but not before, we went to the Vietnamese restaurant, Pho Dena, which is in Pasadena, Maryland. I remember having fresh spring rolls and some iced coffee as well as some noodles.
