On July 4, 2025, Jennifer Huddleston posted the following update to the campaign, SAY NO TO GENOCIDE!!! HELP MUHAMMAD SAVE HIS FAMILY!!!:

Dear Team,
As the United States celebrates its Independence Day, millions will gather to wave flags, light fireworks, and speak of freedom. But for many of us, the word freedom rings hollow in 2025.

How do we celebrate liberty in a country where immigrants are locked in detention camps that resemble modern-day concentration facilities where families are torn apart, children sleep on cold floors, and those fleeing violence are caged like criminals?
How do we celebrate freedom when protest is criminalized, speech is surveilled, books are banned, and militarized police roam our streets?

When the U.S. political system inches ever closer to authoritarianism with rising fascist rhetoric, erosion of civil rights, and violence against the most vulnerable?

We see this mirrored most starkly in Gaza.
What the U.S. government has enabled in Palestine is not just a tragedy. It is an atrocity. Entire families have been annihilated. Hospitals bombed. Children starved. Survivors left with amputations and no care. This is not a humanitarian crisis. It is state-sponsored annihilation. And it is happening with our tax dollars and political backing.

To stand with Gaza today is not only an act of compassion, it is an act of defiance against fascism, colonization, and genocide in all its forms. Because the same systems of surveillance, detention, and dehumanization we see abroad are also operating at home.

None of us are immune.

The camps at the border. The anti-immigrant violence. The silencing of dissent. The rise of state power over people’s bodies, voices, and lives. These are not isolated events. They are symptoms of a system collapsing into repression.

And so your support matters more than ever.
Every dollar you give is not just food or medical aid, it’s a declaration:
We refuse to be complicit.
We refuse to be silent.
We choose life, justice, and dignity for all people.

On this Fourth of July, as we reflect on what it really means to be free, we ask you not only to continue supporting our brothers and sisters in Gaza, but also: Support your neighbors. Stay safe. Stay awake. Stay human.

This work of healing, of resistance, of liberation is not just about “over there.” It’s about your home, your community. It’s about building a world where no one is abandoned to violence, hunger, or despair.

Thank you for your continued solidarity. Thank you for refusing to look away.

With deep gratitude, resolve and unwavering solidarity,
Jenn❤
