Yesterday, I received an update to the campaign, HELP MUHAMMAD’S FAMILY ESCAPE TO FREEDOM ALIVE! via email:
Dear Team,
thank you all so very much for your generous donations to Muhammad’s journey to freedom. He and his family thank you so much for your support not just for him but also for all his fellow Palestinians. This has no doubt been the hardest Ramadan in history.
In a world where Palestinians feel left behind, Muhammad is so touched to know so many of us really care. This gives him tremendous comfort and hope for a future.
So thank you all from his family and mine and every other one of us working day and night to save as many Palestinian families as possible. We are stronger than we think.
As you are all probably aware Anthony Blinken held a press conference today with his weak proposal for a cease-fire resolution while at the same time Israel has embarked on it’s silent invasion of Rafah camps. Each time there has been an outcry by governments for a ceasefire, Netanyahu doubles down on his genocidal rampage and tries to murder as many Palestinians as he can.
Further, the degree of food insecurity is worsening exponentially by the hour.
Time is not on our side here.
As of now we have collected enough to relocate only 1 member of Muhammad’s family. We are at about 20% of goal on this fundraiser. The initial goal is to relocate Muhammad’s mother, his sister and 2 young children and Muhammad to accompany them. We are still far below goal and need approximately 17K to allow them to relocate together. I will continue to work toward getting his dad and the rest of his siblings out.
I have personally committed to renting the family an apartment in Nasr City once they can be relocated. I will be doing this by myself but I can’t make it to the full amount needed to secure the family’s relocation on my own. We need an immediate 17K and probably another for the remaining family.
Muhammad and I still need your help.
Please share this fundraiser with anyone who might be willing to support this family’s journey to freedom. Remind people that even a $5 donation can make the difference for refugees.
Israel is trying to extinct Palestinians. We can not let this happen. Even if Palestinians must evacuate, we will never give up on the fight to get Palestine back. But right now we need to save as many Palestinian lives as possible.
Please stay in this fight with Muhammad. Don’t give on Palestine.
We can do it together.
